He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria; his daughters, Maria Da Maia (Manuel) and Manuela Jorge (Victor); his grandchildren, Robert Da Maia (Josie), Sonya Oliveira (Peter) and Lisa Dagher (Ali); his great grandchildren, Chiara, Serenna, Cristiano, Marcelo and Zayne; and his siblings, Fernando (late Isabel), Otilia (late Canario), Miquelina, Dos Anjos (Silverio) and Joao (late Maria). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
