She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Walters and Gladys Walters; and her husband Ronald J. Smethurst. She is survived by: her children, James Smethurst, Robert Smethurst (Addie), Nancy Smethurst, Kathleen Bryant (Eric) and Julie Lee (Glen). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mary was a long standing member of the Grimsby Legion Auxiliary and the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Grimsby Royal Canadian Legion Branch 127.
