Sandhya Lahiri Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandhya Lahiri of Burlington, Ontario, who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Sandhya Lahiri; her parents, Jnanendra Nath Sanyal and Hena Sanyal; her siblings, Soumendra Nath Sanyal and Prabhat Kumar Sanyal; and her sister-in-law Gayatri Sanyal.
She is survived by: her spouse Dakshina Prasad Lahiri; her daughters, Kasturi Puranam and Sharbari Lahiri; her children-in-law, Ram Puranam and Anthony Presta; and her grandsons, Ishaan Puranam, Kaushik Puranam, Daniel Presta and Benjamin Presta. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the The Express Italian Restaurant (349 Grays Rd, Hamilton, ON L8E2Z1).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Peter's Hospital.
