She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Popelyschyn; her siblings, Pawlina Hawryschko, Joseph and Peter; and her parents, Stefan Hawryschko and Maria Hawryschko.
She is survived by: her children, Mary (Steve Procyszyn) and Walter Popylyshyn (Joanne); her grandchildren, Adrian (Jamie), Mark (Lisa), Larissa (Jimmy), Jason (Pamela) and Jennie (John); her great grandchildren, Teagen (Carter), Kylee, Mikyla (James), Ethan, Riley, Nolan, Quinn, Jackson, Thomas, Callan, Camden, Baba-Baba and Audrey-Mae; and her niece Julia Wandio.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1S9).
