It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William McDermott (Burlington, Ontario), who passed away on February 25, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Judith "Judy"; his parents, Lawrence McDermott and Olive McDermott; his siblings, Patrick and Maureen McDermott; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Sean (Joan), Caroline Thake (Steven) and David; his grandsons, Andrew and Owen Thake; his siblings-in-law, Edna McDermott, Glenn Clark, Gary Clark and Kelly Neale (David); and his aunt Marg. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith's Funeral Home - Brant Street (485 Brant St, Burlington, ON L7R2G5). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church (2016 Blairholm Ave, Burlington, ON L7R1V4).
