With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Donald Wilson Broughton (Caledonia, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 93. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Bev Broughton, Brenda Leenstra (Paul) and David Broughton (Amy); his stepchildren, Dennis Jordan, James Jordan, Charles Jordan, Vera-Lynn Gavey (Phil), Barbara-Ann Ward (Ken) and John Jordan (Trisha); his sibling Reg (late Joyce); his nephew Kevin Broughton (Bev); and his niece Karen Hammond (Doug). He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home - Miller Chapel (28 Caithness St E, Caledonia, ON N3W1B7). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the The Salvation Army Mountain Citadel (835 Stone Church Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W1R8). A reception was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
