She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Smith and Nell Bowyer of Hamilton, Ontario.; her brothers, Thomas Smith, Bernard Smith and Edward Smith; her husband John Mitton; and her daughters, Holly Mitton and Susan Larsen (Ray Larsen).
She is survived by: her daughters, JoAnne Tait (late Ray) and Debra Poff (Gord); and her uncle Jack. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great grandchildren.
