He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacobus VanderPol and Leentje VanderPol; and his wife Ursula VanderPol (Uschi). He is survived by: his children, Michael (Julie) and Monica (Mark); his grandchildren, Katrina, Madelaine, Carter and Maya; his siblings, Willem VanderPol (Dorothy), Trudy Dougans (Bob), Martha Cranston (Murray) and Dikkie Wettlaufer (Ron); and his close friends, Jim and Marilyn Kelly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Chapel (28 Caithness St E, Caledonia, ON N3W1B7). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Donations in Leendert's memory may be made to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or Ronald McDonald House.
