He is survived by : his wife Micheline McCarthy (Foisy); his daughters, Rory and Haley; his parents, Michael McCarthy and Lauraine (Gascon); his father-in-law Simon Foisy (Crystal); his siblings-in-law, Miranda Foisy, Sandy Veley (Foisy) and Gilles Foisy; his nephew Wyatt Veley; his niece Brooke Veley; and his aunts and uncles, Linda Nelson (Robert), Suzanne Roy (Ron), Theresa Whyte (James), Carol Golder (Wayne), Raymond Gascon, Peter McCarthy (Ellen), Ray McCarthy (Jackie), Bob McCarthy (Dee) and Annie Mathieu (Wilf).

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation or the North Bay Santa Fund.
