He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his son Rick; his son-in-law Martin Crowell; his grandsons, Mark Berry and Matthew Holtzhauer; his parents, Elijah Holtzhauer and Lillian Holtzhauer; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Ruby Harper.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Patricia Crowell of Ayr; his daughter-in-law Christine Holtzhauer of Tillsonburg; his children, Glenn (Deb) and Christine (Craig Cooper) of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Don Berry (Jana), Angela Holtzhauer, Adam Holtzhauer (Stacey), Lena Ford (Brian), Aaron and Nathan Cooper; his great grandchildren, Kate, Arianna, Asher Holtzhauer, Mackenzie, Madilynn Berry, Mason and Emma Ford; his sisters, Marg Munden of Calgary and Myna Butler (Art) of Paris; and his sister-in-law Gladys Harper of Tillsonburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
