He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce E. Muir; his son Brian; his son-in-law Glen; his parents, Alexander Muir and Pearl Muir; and his siblings, Ken Muir and Ruthann McNanny.
He is survived by: his sister Marlyn Bailey; and his children, Donald Muir, Diane Buttler (Jan), Debora Stubbs (Glen), Donna Faber (Larry), David Muir (Cindy), Dennis Muir (Laurie) and Doreen Roberts (Ron). He is also survived by 29 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
