She was predeceased by : her sibling Behnam. She is survived by : her spouse Yousef Makdasy of Cambridge; her children, Nasir of Germany, Nagham of Cambridge and Namir of Iraq; her siblings, Najat, Ibtisam of Cambridge, Noel of Australia, Sabah of Iraq, Bassel of Iraq and Hany of Iraq; her grandchildren, Amany, Yosif of Iraq, Nathan, Lilian and Vivian of Cambridge; and her daughter Faith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
