He was predeceased by: his siblings, Emiel and Josephine (Alfons). He is survived by: his wife Paula Snels; his child Chris Schmalz Connie Kunert (Jenny); and his grandchildren, Danny, Tim Schmalz, Andrew and Amelia Snels. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations to Cambridge Humane Society would be appreciated in tribute of his love of animals.
