He is survived by: his wife Maria Sousa; his children, Lydia Monteiro (Joe) and Joe Sousa (Tammy); his grandchildren, Cheryl (Lyle), Alison, Micheal and Aaron; his sister Emilia Fontes (late Joao Fontes); and his sister-in-law Emilia Braga (late Bernardino). He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
