He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lorie Vonk; his parents, Roel Vonk and Maria Vonk; his children, Courtney Lischak, Eric Vonk and Emily Malcolm; his sons-in-law, Paul Lischak and Dalton Malcolm; his grandchildren, Ella Lischak, Nicholas Lischak, Lyla Malcolm and Richard Malcolm; his friends, Roel Vonk and Pieter Vonk; and his sibling Kees Vonk. He was also cherished by His wife and children were his best friends.

To honour his memory and in lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for any donations to the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation.
