He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria DoCarmo; his son Tony (Eulalia); his grandchildren, Brittany (Mike), Aaron (Rachel) and Justine (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Zara, Kingston, Odin, Austen, Eden and Merritt; his parents, Jose Lopes Melo and Maria Trindad Costa; and his brothers, Joao Lopes Melo (Rosa), Jose Lopes Melo (Isabel), Manuel Lopes Melo (Virginia), Antonio Lopes Melo (Maria) and Alfred Lopes Melo (Dinaria). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
