She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Paul Kevin Keels; her parents, Harold Newman and Marjorie Newman; and her brothers, Freddy, Harold, Henry and Randy.

She is survived by: her children, Michelle (Thayne), Joe (Sarah) and Scott; her grandchildren, Cassandra, Jordan, William, Austin, Thayne, Bryson, Maddis, Asher and Billy; her great grandchildren, Kilee, Raiden and Blake; her friend Dave; and her siblings, Albert Newman (Susan), Paul Newman, Wayne Newman (Rosemary), Joan Mahaney (Phillip) of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland., Linda Newman Mahaney (Gord Dixon) of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland., Audrey Gillingham Newman (Norm Turqtuq) of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. and Marjorie Newman (Gerald Bickford) of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
