It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel Edward Schmeler (Cambridge, Ontario), who passed away on April 10, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sibling Barbara Coombs. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie and Douglas; his wife Joan Gracey; his mother Elizabeth Schmeler; and his siblings, Heather Gibbs and Susan Harkness.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stoke, Alzheimer's Society, Community Living Burlington.

“Today I was trying to find a phone number to call Ed and propose a coffee after years of not seeing each other. We became friends in Grade 9 at South-River Sundridge High; Later we lived in the same rooming house on Madison Ave., while studying at Ryerson. He was a loyal friend during my first marriage as cars became a common interest. I bought an old Porsche, Ed a new Fiat 124 Coupe. Ed was very smart, very funny. I'm so sad to learn he has gone from this earth.”
