He was predeceased by: his son David Jr.; his parents, Horace and Lily; and his siblings, George (Shirley), Lois Porteous, Wayne Shouldice and John Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Brenda Clark (Darryl), Billie-Anne Arthur (Gary) and Theresa MacDougall; his grandchildren, Zachary (Melissa), Sarah (Eric), Cody, Michelle, Keith, Nicole (Morgan) and Amanda (Aidann); his brother John Gibbons (Marilyn); his brother-in-law Ken Porteous; and his sisters, Margaret Shouldice, Doreen McRobb (Bill), Rosalie Davies (Ron) and Gwen Dias (John). He is also survived by his extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the The Salvation Army Cambridge Citadel (12 Shade St, Cambridge, ON N1R4J5). A burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the St. George Cemetery (257 St George Rd, St George, ON N0E1N0).
As an expression of sympathy, donations in David's memory may be made to the Parkinson Society, in honor of the love of his life, Carol.
