He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Mae McKnight. He is survived by: his children, Bruce (Karen), Daryl (Peggy) and Ken (Judy); his grandchildren, Heather, Luke, Holli, Cameron, Derek and Evan; his great grandchildren, Kieran, Colin, Hunter, Brantly, Brock McKnight, Edwin "Keith" Morton and Maeve; his sister Dorothy Kuik; and his brother-in-law Gary Hoad (Pauline).
