Emmanuil Bakogiannis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emmanuil Bakogiannis (Cambridge, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 26, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Emmanuil find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He is survived by: his wife Eleni Bakogiannis; and his siblings, Sylvia, Dimitra and George (Lana). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lounsbury Funeral Home (1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, ON N3C1N8). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (50 Dovercliffe Rd, Guelph, ON N1G1T8). A reception will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the New Hope Cemetery (235 Cooper St, Cambridge, ON N3C2J9).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emmanuil's memory to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Guelph, cards will be available at the Funeral Home and at the Church.
