He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Annie (Gardiner); his brothers, Gerald, John, Ron, Gus, Patrick, Leo and Val; and his wife Margaret (Flynn).
He is survived by: his sisters, Madonna, Anna Marie, Mercedes and Bernice; his son David (Petra); and his grandchildren, Krista Reid, Andrew Dooling and Ileana Mahon.
