With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Gregoreathis Malatches (Cambridge, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 61. Though Fred has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Koula; his daughters, Sophia and Rina; his brother Steve (Theodora); his nieces and nephews, Dimitri and Amelia; and his parents, Sophia and James. He was also cherished by his cousins, family, and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in Fred's memory may be made to the Waterloo Regional Health Network (Cancer Care Designation), Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre or to Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church.
