He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Groothuis and Hendrika Groothuis. He is survived by: his wife Judy Groothuis; his children, Robert (Teresa), Micheal (Melissa), MaryAnn (Aaron), Gerald (Melody) and Benjamin (Brooke); his grandchildren, Taylor, Hailey, Paige, Olivia, Summer, Skyla, Owen, Holly, Gemma, Bella and Amos; and his siblings, Jack, Hank, Joanne, Christine, Rosemary and Jim.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hespeler Legion. As per Garry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on August 17, 2025 at Hespeler Legion from 1 to 4 pm, please RSVP to Judy Groothuis at judygarry@hotmail. com.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to The Terry Fox Foundation (https://terryfox.org) or the Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family.
