He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his children, Todd, Trent (Christa) and Trinette Canning; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Kyle and Kassie Mae; and his siblings, Gilbert Canning (Lyda), Clifford Canning (Shirley), Tony Canning (Glennys), Major Maxine Boyde (Woodrow), Major Edward Canning, Leona Mills and Rosena Philpott (Grant). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
