Hermano Castelo Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hermano Castelo (Cambridge, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Mark; and his parents, Manuel Castelo and Gilda De Medeiros Castelo. He is survived by: his spouse Albertina; his daughters, Grace and Patricia (Steve); his sister Natividade (João Paulo); and his sister-in-law Elvira Rodrigues (Renato). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Corbett Funeral Home (95 Dundas St N, Cambridge, ON N1R5N6). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church (210 South St, Cambridge, ON N1R2P4). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (620 Governors Rd E, Paris, ON N3L3E1).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Hermano's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's and Dementia Society of Canada.
