He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hamill and Pearl Hamill; and his siblings, David, Michael, Evelyn, Corine and Virginia.
He is survived by: his children, James Alexander Hamill (Lisa) and Courtney Elizabeth Hamill (Mike Gray); his grandchildren, Logan, Riley, Lucas, Brooklynn and Lincoln; his sister Diane Jones (Robert); his siblings-in-law, Anne Hastings, Helen Hamill and Jim Teather; and his close friend Eric Karn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Paul's Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
