He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, James Jr. (Lee Ann), Debbie Mitchell (Ray) and Julie Lapointe (Keith); his grandchildren, Dawn Rieck, David Henry, Dylan Lapointe, Liam Mitchell, Hailey Mitchell and Kenzie Lapointe; and his brother Mackenzie Mitchell (Vivian).
