He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Cripps and Vinetta Cripps; his brother Herbert Cripps; and his brother-in-law Ed Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Selena Cripps; his children, Jason Cripps (Aimée) and Jeri Buzny (Paul); his grandchildren, Lyon, Hudson, Maeve, Nora and Benson; his siblings, Jeanne Thornton and Ken Cripps; and his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Cripps and Bev Cripps. He is also survived by his siblings, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Coutts Funeral Home (96 St Andrews St, Cambridge, ON N1S1M8).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf, an organization close to Jim's heart that works to preserve and celebrate Deaf culture, sign languages, arts, heritage, learning, mentorship, and community for future generations.
