We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2020, at the age of 88, Joao Batista Cabral (Cambridge, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Joao Jr.; and his brother-in-law Mario Ferreira. He is survived by: his spouse Aldora; his daughter Grace (Bob MacLaughlin); his grandchildren, Tiago John Melo, Brian Edward Melo, Andrew Emmanuel Melo, Isaac Mathews Cabral, Joel Williams Cabral and Jordan MacLaughlin; his siblings, Gloria Cabral (late Samuel) and Antonio Cabral (late Adelia); and his siblings-in-law, Paulo Ferreira (Laudalina), Debora Teixeira (late Albano) and Manuela Borges (Carlos). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by his family.
