He was predeceased by: his wife Alda; and his son John Benevides. He is survived by: his children, Carlos Benevides and Grace Rebelo; his grandchildren, Christine (Nelson), Jessica (Jesse), Brandon, Zachery and Arianna; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Garyson, Aubree and Alda; and his siblings, Manuel Benevides and Evelina Fita. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
