He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Rickard and Ruby Rickard; and his brother Roland Rickard. He is survived by: his spouse Joann Rickard; his children, Michael Rickard, Jeff Rickard (Julie) and Tracey Graper (Mike); his grandchildren, Dana, Adam, Sara (Brian), Jessica, Nicole, Emily and Jacob; his siblings, Joan Wilson and Frank Rickard (Sheila); and his sister-in-law Donna Rickard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Guelph General Hospital or Cambridge Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
