He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonel Moniz and Maria Da Gloria Moniz. He is survived by: his brothers, Paul and George Moniz; his daughter Melissa; his nieces and nephews, Shandi Georgie (Brandon) and Josh; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jaela and Aria.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Corbett Funeral Home (95 Dundas St N, Cambridge, ON N1R5N6). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (53 Wellington St, Cambridge, ON N1R3Y6).
Memorial contributions made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated in memory of John by the family.
