He was predeceased by: his wife Janet. He is survived by: his children, John (Paula), Jean (Curtis), Margaret (Jacob) and Elisabeth (Glen); his grandchildren, Alannah (Steve), Michael, Emily (Al), Kathryn, Christian, Krista, Pieter, Ashley (Jason), Nicole (Brad), Janelle, Stephen and Lilian; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Oscar, Bentley and Violet. He is also survived by one sister and many nieces and nephews.
