He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Brian Melo and Brianna Melo (Shamos); his parents, Jose Melo and Virginia Melo; and his siblings, Germano (Manuela), Ernesto (Eulalia), Silverio, Sergio, Gualdino (Ana), Libuino (Ana), Armindo (Laureta), Nesia (late João) and Isaltina (late Miguel). He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces.
