He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; his parents, Joseph and Rose; and his siblings, Robert and Margaret.
He is survived by: his children, Lois Luz-Darkes, Paul Darkes (Linda), Joan Jones (Tom) and Alan Darkes (Darren); his grandchildren, Abbey (Adam), Alexander, Adam, Aaron and Amy; and his sisters-in-law, Jean and Joyce. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Cambridge Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
