With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lloyd Gemmell Smye (Cambridge, Ontario), born in Ayr, Ontario, who passed away on April 16, 2018 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father George Carruthers Smye; his stepmother Mary (Gillespie); his brother George William Smye (Emily); his daughter-in-law Trista; and his niece Cheryle Anderson (Wayne).

He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy (McCarthy); his children, Russell (Judy) and Meredith (Charlene); his grandchildren, Ryan (Tiffany) and Blake; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Olivia, Koen, Patrick, Cael, Uncle of Judy, Bates, Joy Mackowiak Margaret (Steve), Thompson Smye and Gordon Smye (Terri).
