Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Maria Isabel Canto (Cambridge, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 85, on January 28, 2022. She was predeceased by: her son Joao Manuel; her parents, Manuel Carriero and Estrela Carriero; and her parents-in-law, Joao and Amelia Canto.

She is survived by: her children, Joe Canto (Bernice) and Lucy Watola (Ray); her grandchildren, Troy (Candace), Kyle, Samantha (Kraig), Justine (Scott) and Bronson (Stefanie); her close friend Ilda (Marcelino); her siblings, Virginia, Alda (Sao Miguel) and David (Cambridge); her niece Alda (Sao Miguel); her sisters-in-law, Belmira (Sao Miguel), Irondina (Nova Scotia) and Fernanda (Guelph); and her caregivers, Rodin, Benadetta, Grand and Rowanda. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
