It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Leonard Parsons of Cambridge, Ontario, who passed away on April 26, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Violet, Lillian, Gertrude, Essie, Donald and Alexis; and his parents, Alexander Parsons and Mary Ann Parsons (Buckler).

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Parsons (Vaters); his daughter Brenda (Aiden McGrath); his grandchildren, Kristi (Norm), Amber (Ashlee), Nicole (Bruce), Brooke (Adrian), Janis (Steve), Joel (Stef), Kate, Aaron (Angela) and Whitney (Dawson); his great grandchildren, Tristan, Cassidy, Jaxson, Elam, Garrett, Kaija, Autumn, Chloe, Mitchell, Tori, Tyler, Paige, Ethan, Kinley and Cadance; his extended family Glace Bay; his daughter Barbara McCartney (Parsons); and his granddaughter Brenda McGrath (Parsons). He is also survived by Papa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A donation can be made to the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
