She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Spooner and Mildred Spooner; and her brother Brian Spooner. She is survived by: her close friend Brian Steele; her daughters, Teresa Kendry (Steve), Danielle Brenner (Dave) and Becky Steele; her grandchildren, Tye (Jess), Taylor, Emma, Morgan, Matthew, Johan and Maya; and her siblings, Donnie Spooner (Joy), Bonnie Lirusso (Gerry) and Margaret Duggan (Brian). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital ICU Department would be appreciated by her family.
