With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Whalen (Cambridge, Ontario), born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, who passed away on March 23, 2018 at the age of 71. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patricia Whalen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Mercer and Ann Mercer; and her brother Edmond Mercer. She is survived by: her spouse Francis Whalen (Frank); her children, Michelle Vieira and Paul Whalen (Judy); her great grandchildren, Jackson, Kai, Maya, Knox, Silas and Easton; her brother James Mercer (Catherine); and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Mercer, Ida Ezekiel and Gladys Whalen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Committal will follow at Parklawn Cemetery, after which a reception will be held at the Cambridge Newfoundland Club, Dunbar Rd. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Lung Association, and can be arranged by contacting the funeral home at (519) 623-1290.
