He was predeceased by: his spouse Elizabeth Gibson (Betty); his parents, Melville and Jean; and his brother Douglas. He is survived by: his children, Shari Vezeau (Bert) and Lisa Brijeski (Tony); his grandfather Ellen (Scott); his great grandchildren, Bradley, Lillian, Evelyn and Mason; and his siblings, Donald, Doris and Ralph.
