He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivor Mecrate and Violet Mecrate; and his brother Ivor. He is survived by: his significant other Gisele Joly; his children, Pamela, Lorraine, Robert (Shirley) and Richard (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Alana, Amy, Ainsley, Amanda, Rebecca, Madison, Walker, Nathan, Ashley, Brodie, Alistair and Andrew.
