With solemn reverence, we commemorate Robert Rutherford of Cambridge, Ontario, whose life came to an end on October 18, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Robert departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Robert. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his son Craig. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his daughter Lynne Veugen (Matt); and his grandchildren, Jocelyn and AJ.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Corbett Funeral Home (95 Dundas St N, Cambridge, ON N1R5N6). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation in Bob's memory.
