He was predeceased by: his wife Philomena; his great grandchildren, Hailee Folz and Nathan Soloman; and his brothers, Bernard, Vincent, Kevin and William.

He is survived by: his children, Rosalind Hedderson-MacKenzie, Sharon Soloman (Les), Vince Hedderson, Brenda Butler (Wayne), Bill Hedderson (Janet DeWinter), Jacqueline Patrick (Troy), Rhonda Hibbs Ron Hedderson (Cindy Savard) and Kevin Hedderson (Cindy Hood); his sister Patricia Bryan (Paul Lemoy); and his friend Monica Hawco. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
