He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Lorimer and Archibald; his siblings, John, William, Archie, Matthew and Jean; his grandson Nathan; and his great grandchild Rafael.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Brown); his children, Stephen (Kelly), Caroline (Gary), Rona (Ted), Heather (Joe), Kevin (Cindy) and Gwen (Glenn); his grandchildren, Saxon, Tegan (Taylor), Brooklin (Owen), Erran, Katie (Tyler), Bryan, Shawn (Diane), Nicole (Donald), Colin (Marisa), Joshua (Michelle), Matthew (Sabrina), Isaiah (Maggie), Emma (Casey), Jacob (Sarah), Rachel and Sarah (Garret); his great grandchildren, Kerensa, Francesca, Julian, Joelle, Josslin, Jasmine, Charles, Rebecca, Henry, Sierra and Elena; his parents-in-law, Samuel Brown and Mary (Walsh); his brother-in-law George; his siblings, Betty, Richard and Peter; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth, Mary (Walter) and James (Liz). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
