He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Ruby; his parents, Eduard and Ludmila; and his sisters, Jarmila (Jan) and Marie (Vladislav).

He is survived by: his children, Dan and Andrea Kraus (Greg); his grandchildren, Zakery and Molly; Vera (Milan), Marie (Vlastimil), Vlastimil (Marta), Marcela (Jan), Jarmila (Frantisek) and Vladislav (Irena).
