He was predeceased by: his parents, Errol Sharma and Mary Sharma; and his mother-in-law Anna May McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Dion Sharma (Krista), Gavin, Gillian Sharma (Gregory Simone) and Vanessa Sharma (Benjamin Page-Wood) of Australia; his grandchildren, Justine, Ethan, Madelynn and Sarena; his sister Susan Jaggernauth; his sister-in-law Almina McCarthy; his cousin Deborah Julien; and his friend Stephanie Sinai-Mallett.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a strict COVID protocol is still in place. All entering the church must wear a mask, anyone unable to wear one must provide an 'official' exemption document in order to be allowed admittance.
