He was predeceased by: his son Joseph John; his parents, Coburn Walter and Betty Walter; his brothers, Allan and Skip; his father-in-law Raymond Menard; his brothers-in-law, Toby Summerfield and Lenny Steele; and his nephew Jason Summerfield.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Walter; his children, Nikki (Bobby Sayeau) and Michelle (Jeff Allen); his grandchildren, Kadena Goupil (Chris), Hayden Sayeau Barrett (Megan) and Clay Allen (Lia); his great grandchild Marcus; his siblings, Judy Summerfield, Betty Ann Steele, Diana Walter, Don Walter (Dave) and Jay Kinsman; his mother-in-law Joyce Menard; his in-laws, Brenda, Butch Bass, Roger and Sandra Menard; and his close friends, Myles and Dale.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home (2065 Dundas St, Cardinal, ON K0E 1E0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
