He was predeceased by: his parents, Cosmo Downey and Eva Downey; and his brother Mark. He is survived by: his spouse Gail Downey; his children, Bruce (Karen), Sean (Stephanie) and Shannon (Mike); his grandchildren, Matthew, Heather (Hunter), Andrew, Liam, Leighton, Charlotte, Thomas, Quinn, Mae, Éloïse and Hudson; and his sister-in-law Kenzie (Matt). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Highland Park Cemetery.
